These are the five things you need to know if you are looking for a clothes dryer.
Ducting - You should look for a dryer that can duct the moisture outside your home. In case you need to put a dryer into place that doesn't let you use the ducting, you should consider another option for your laundry. Some people suggest you still put the dryer inside your home but to make sure there is enough ventilation around. I do not suggest this because that moisture will remain in your home, no matter what you do. It will ruin your walls, ceiling and create mold and mildew quite fast.
Drying cycle - There are manual and sensor dryers. With manual, you have to set the length of the drying cycle yourself, depending on the time you think clothes will be dry. You need to check out your clothes from time to time and remove the one that is already dry. With sensor dryers, there is an automatic stop that will react when machine figures out your clothes is dry. It will save your time and it will eliminate the over drying. Some newer models also help with drying in that way that all clothes is equally dry.
Temperature setting - There are plenty of options here, some will give you two settings only, others will offer multiple programs. Figure out what exactly do you need before making any buying decisions.
Creasing - If you are fast enough, you can fold your clothes without need for ironing. There are some clothes dryers that can assist you with this so you should check out for them. You can set the timer to schedule this. The machine can keep on working until you are ready to pick up the clothes. Also, there are some useful features that will help you with creasing, like backwards drying that will keep your clothes to remain untangled.
Practicalities - It is recommended to empty the fluff every time you use your dryer. Check that it is easy to accessible and that it is easy to load and unload the clothes from your dryer. Another thing to be aware of is door size, some are smaller and some are bigger - a larger will definitely be easier to handle. Check out the dryer height and can you install it where you want. The capacity is important too, depending on how many family members you have, plan out the capacity of the clothes dryer you need.
